How to save Tweets (X Posts) to Airtable

Saving tweets (X posts) to Airtable is helpful for tracking your own content, archiving tweets from others, or preserving important mentions of your company. Organizing tweet data in Airtable allows you to monitor and manage social media interactions effectively.

Selecting the right tweets (x posts)

The best way to save tweet information is by using the element picker to select the exact tweet you want. Alternatively, you can visit the tweet’s detail page first to ensure you capture all relevant details.

With Airtable Powersave, you can navigate to a tweet, choose the appropriate Airtable table, and use autofill or manual clipping to save the necessary details.

Element Picker & AI Autofill

Using the element picker helps you focus on the specific tweet you want to save. Powersave AI autofill can then categorize and save key tweet details, such as:

  • Tweet content (text)
  • Author’s username
  • Tweet URL
  • Date and time of the tweet
  • Number of likes, retweets, and replies
  • Any media (images, videos, GIFs)
  • On the tweet’s detail page, autofill can also capture additional context, such as the thread or replies.

For more specific details, like hashtags, links, or quoted tweets, you can manually select and clip them. Right-click on images, videos, or other media within the tweet to add them to the attachment field. Any selected text or data can be added directly to existing fields in Airtable.
